She Loves An Ocean View
I have spent many days by the Ocean. When I visit her and make pilgrimage to her edge to inhale her salty air and meditative sounds - there is a moment that exists just before I step out onto the squeaky sand that pre-empts her promise of cool, damp, solid sandiness beneath my feet. Here, I often find myself looking through the languishing trees that adorn her shoreline’s edge - a gateway that takes me from earth to sea and surf; a momentary frame presenting what lies ahead should I dare brave the hot fluffy and unpredictable sand standing between me and her roaring waves and recently upturned treasures. Will I step or will I waver, in the shadowy ecstasy of trees and floundering foliage?
